The Dark Side Calls
Well, after being a 'generally' nice guy for most of my career, I finally decided to let a little bit of that evil nature come to surface, and take out a bit of frustration and pent up wrath upon the beasts of Vana'diel. Things started out rather scarily upon a jaunt into Qufim to join a party, while at 18-20 (We had one 20, the RDM >.>) the leader wanted to take on crabs instead of my recommended wormy fiends! First battle, our BLM bit it as the PLD hadn't fully attained the fine arts of when to provoke and cure yet, it appeared. Alright, so we get a raise, and I mentioned AGAIN that we should fight worms instead...however, he pulls back another crab. This time, we have a beatdown session where the poor PLD bites it, and yes, the BLM was next, and well, suffice it to say that a soul-sucking weapon will save your life in that situation!
Anyway, someone had to go, and left abruptly, so I assumed leadership, and recruited a cool Beastmaster named Knugg into our ranks. He stayed with us the rest of the time, as we plowed through worms and crabs with the aid of Tigerlilly, a sweetheart I should've really mentioned before in this journal, a longtime friend of mine who came to hang out in Qufim with me and beat down some Banshees with her WHM wickedness! She aided us a lot and it allowed the RDMs to get down and dirty with some sword skilled Enthunder on the crabs since the former leader left and already had his own replacement, a 2nd RDM. :/ At 21, we plunged into Lower Delkfutt's Tower, and ran through a barrage of Goblins and Giants until we reached 24.
After I arrived at 24, a small group of us decided to break for 30 minutes, eat, and then travel on to the island of Kazham. Maxevo, the NIN from the Lower Delkfutt's Tower adventure, started up a party for Yuhtunga Jungle, and we were 23-24 for the most part. Max spoke Japanese and English fluently, and I was the only pure English speaker in the party. Wish I had those kinda language skills! We had a rough start at the camp on the SE side of the jungle near the hole towards Yhoator that had me ironically changing back to WHM in Kazham for a couple of R2's. We began looking for a new camp. Max asked what I thought of camp ideas after discussing with the party, and I remembered a little camp I from my days earlier as a THF -- a little spot around G-7 near the tunnel. There's one goblin that appears there rarely, but compared to the multiple gobs that wandered near us on the other side, it was a change for the better. So I ran over on chocobo after changing back to DRK, and the goblin wasn't there, so we decided to move camp to that location. From there, we didn't have anymore deaths, but we did have to zone that rare goblin once, though a passing WHM killed it the other time it popped. I ended up reaching 25, about halfway into 26 by the time that the party ended, and I thoroughly enjoyed it, looking forward to partying with them again! Just 12 more levels of the dark side, though...and then Diabolos will have new cause for fear...ME! Muahahahahaha! May the force be with you, young padawans...

Yah, I know what you mean.. I have been through that too where no one listens to you... since you are not the leader... but on a brighter note, congrats on all your lvls...
Haha, the great ones are when no one listens to you despite being the leader, "That meant you put the party together." ^_~
Um...I always thought that R2 didn't make one lick of difference until you reached 50 or 51 (can't remember which one).
Being leader generally doesn't mean much. You put the party together but ... a lot of leaders are idiots. And some of them are just plain clueless. I'm going to have to level BST I guess and not have to put up with parties.
Enjoy DRK. And get ready for chainspell stun!
I am SHE-RA
I avoid leadership or responsablities as much as possible. I prefer instead to leach off of others experience and spend all my free time lounging on the beach like a seal. Moving is over-rated. Yay for naps!
